I coached baseball in little league through High School. I was active with boy scouts and the local school district. My wife and I enjoy camping and the outdoors along with enjoying spending time with and watching the grand children grow. In May of 2022 I was having a difficult time breathing and by July 2023 advised pulmonary hypertension and pulmonary fibrosis would require me to have a double lung transplant. After testing at Northwestern Chicago I was advised due to a cardiac issue they would not be able to list me.
I was referred to Cleveland Clinic to begin testing Jan 2nd and 3rd 2024 but, on Nov 28th dermatologist found a small bump on my little finger. Biopsy show it to be Merkle Cell Carcinoma. I rare and aggressive skin cancer. Dec 13th it was removed and test have shown so far it has not spread.
Cleveland Clinic refused lung transplant due to the skin cancer. Now I’ll just live with my lung issues and continue taking ever increasing medications.

Aug 1 2024 Breathing has gotten worse still trying to do what I can to improve. Due to the Pulmonary Hypertension its affecting my heart also. Back in January I went into A-Flutter right half of my heart. Was set up for ablation but, then changed to A-fib. Now on blood thinners also..I really can not walk much anymore because of lung issues so had to purchase a Mobility Scooter just to get to the Dr. appointments.
July 31st had basil cell carcinoma removes from my left cheek/temple which caused bleeding issues because of the blood thinner..Lost about 1 pint of blood beffore they were able to correct it Aug 1.
Please give if you can...and save a few prayers...my family and I can use all the help we can get.
After 2 months of testing on Nov. 9th Northwestern Chicago advised us that they would not be able to do my needed transplant. They have referred my case to both Cleveland Clinic and Mayo Clinic is MN. Both are more experienced with my health conditions. So now I'm waiting while they review all my test results. Please keep me in your prayers and thank you for any donations.
I will be starting my pre-transplant testing Sep 25th and hopefully will then qualify and be placed on the Lung transplant list.
