Nathan was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy when he was four. DMD is a genetic disorder characterized by progressive loss of muscle including skeletal, heart, and lung muscles. As a result, he relies on an extensive medical team for health care, caretakers for day to day needs, and a collection of medical equipment for mobility.Nathan will complete the cybersecurity program at Copiah-Lincoln Community College in 2024. When he isn’t in class he can be found online gaming with friends or transferring home videos to digital format. He also serves on the live video production team at church.Donations will help Nathan purchase a new van which will be modified to his needs for driving. This freedom will allow him to pursue a job after he graduates… and to visit Chick-fil-a.
**Help Nathan Gain Independence This Giving Tuesday!**Nathan is eagerly awaiting a vehicle that will be modified to be accessible for his needs, providing him with the freedom to live life on his terms. He’s currently waiting for approval from the Mississippi Department of Rehabilitation Services (MDRS) to complete the necessary vehicle modification. Once the modification is completed, Nathan will be able to travel freely, whether it’s grabbing a meal at Chick-fil-A or enjoying his favorite drink at Sipps. More importantly, he’ll have the mobility he needs to pursue employment opportunities, using his valuable computer skills.Your support will help us cover the cost of purchasing the van, as MDRS will fund the modification. Any contribution you make will bring him one step closer to gaining the independence he deserves.Thank you for considering a donation to help Nathan live more freely.
