Linde has liver disease and needs a transplant. Luckily, her older sister Carrie has selflessly offered to be a live donor. She was a perfect match. The surgery is scheduled for March 13th.
Prayers and positive thoughts are appreciated. The transplant team will take a portion of Carrie’s liver and transplant it to Linde. The liver will regenerate and grow back to a normal size in both of them.
Linde and John have a combined 6 children and 3 grandchildren. Carrie and Gary have 5 children and 5 grandchildren.
Linde has chosen to fundraise for Help Hope Live in part because Help Hope Live assures fiscal accountability of funds raised and tax deductibility for contributors. Contributors can be sure donations will be used to pay or reimburse medical and related expenses. To make a tax-deductible donation to this fundraising campaign, click on the Give button.

Thank you for your support!
Thank you all for your support, Carrie and I are doing amazing! We thank you all for your prayers and support!
Linde is doing good, got a shower, real clothes and ate almost a whole meal! She is being released in the morning to come to the Airbnb for the rest of the stay in Salt Lake.
Linde had a rough day today, but bounced back. Had trouble being kept up on meds but it got fixed. Walked again without walker and did a few steps.
Linde moved out of the Shock Trauma ICU to regular ICU. She is doing better everyday, took a long walk today without a walker before she moved. Still very tired, but the surgeon said that is still normal. He said everything was functioning as it should. Carrie was discharged today, Linde still has a few days.
Linde is making good progress, went for a good walk today with a walker. She is still awaiting a room in regular ICU, hopefully today. Carrie is doing very good and could possibly leave the hospital Saturday or Sunday. Linde possibly could also if she continues to make good progress.

Linde was up out of bed and walking today. She was able to walk down the hall and see her sister Carrie for the first time. Carrie was also up and walking. Surgeons are very happy with where they are at. Will be moving out of Shock Trauma ICU to ICU tonight or tomorrow.
Linde and Carrie are both in ICU recovering well, Doctors are very happy with how it went.
Linde went into surgery at 9:00 AM at Intermountain Health Transplant center.
Tomorrow is the big day!!! Carrie and I are excited and positive. Thank you for all your prayers and support!

Hey all: sending my love, prayers & support for my beautiful sister in law & her sister/donor for a successful surgery & a rapid recovery for all! Linde worked for me until she got sick 4 years ago & has been waiting a long time for a solution to feel better. Her sister is making a huge sacrifice as her donor too & I’m so thankful for this opportunity for them & their families. There’s no greater gift than the gift of life.
Love you Linde, & love/hugs to my brother John & all involved family/parties! Sarah T
