Help Give Torryn A Happy Tomorrow!
In 2011, Torryn Battle was a vibrant and active young man, whose love of art, music and sports was outshined only by his love for God and his family, especially his then 2 year-old daughter. Torryn’s life drastically changed when he was hit by a car while walking in Tallahassee, Florida. The accident left him in a coma and Torryn was not expected to survive. He suffered a broken neck and a severed spinal cord at C1; he would be a quadriplegic and dependent on a ventilator to breathe for the rest of his life. After four of the darkest days of our lives, our prayers were answered when Torryn opened his eyes! Over the next 100 days, Torryn continued to surprise his medical team with his outstanding progress. He was still the same laughing, joking Torryn from the chin up! Torryn continued to surpass medical expectations and make so much progress that he no longer needed 24-hour hospital care.

Hi Torryn - this is Jackie Young and I'm LeAnne's mom. Just like Jule, I feel like you're a member of our family. Whenever we see Lee, we ask about you. Your spirit and courage is amazing and can only be attributed to your faith in God. Don't ever let go of that guy, cause it is the most important thing you can have. What an amazing lesson you're teaching your daughter - faith, strength, courage are such important ingredients to a meaningful life. I hope you will be blessed in getting the things you want which will help to improve the quality of your life. I shall make my small contribution and I pray others will come forward and support the cause. Continue to be strong and know that many persons who you don't know (like myself) are praying for you and cheering you on! With God's love - Jackie Young.

2 Cortinthians 12:9-10 But He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. ” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong."
