Adrien Slade Kluchnik is has an exuberant approach to life; he shines so brightly and definitely stands out in a crowd.

He has an endearing heart paired with extraordinary curiosity. His mind is so unique and powerful. In our home we regard Autism Spectrum Disorder as both a special gift as well as true disability. While Adrien has so many strengths he faces many struggles that create friction where instead a little boy should find ease. It is not fair that his autism causes him to be so deeply misunderstand. He deserves our help. Adrien has so much potential and wants nothing more than to share his gifts with the world.

At age 3 he took an interest in the human immune system (along with trucks of course) and he would discuss dendritic cells, lymphocytes, and antibodies. He didn’t fit in with his peers at preschool and was met with a lot of criticism and often felt ostracized.
At age 4 he started appreciating history and dove into tragedy of the Titanic and other giant ocean liners that sank into the sea. Again his special interests brought him a lot of joy and satisfaction but they further immersed him into an abstract cerebral world of wonder and further disconnected him from his friends, family, and the reality of developing life skills.
Nowadays, you’ll find Adrien studying all things aviation and aeronautics. He has blasted way out into space and while it his amazing to see him dream we still need him back on Earth learning how to be a human boy.
Adrien has always been on a unique and atypical timeline. He spoke extremely well, read books, and recited facts well before his peers yet he lags pretty far behind his peers with his social skills, self care, safety awareness, and nutrition. Such basic things that most people take for granted are actually quite difficult for him and unfortunately being a smarty pants isn’t enough to help him get by.
