Family and friends of Stephanie McCarthy are raising money for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to fund uninsured medical expenses associated with transplantation.
Stephanie has chosen to fundraise for Help Hope Live in part because Help Hope Live assures fiscal accountability of funds raised and tax deductibility for contributors. Today marks 6 weeks post transplant. I have been home for about 3 weeks now, and continue working with my visiting nurse and physical therapy to gain back my strength. I have been able to increase my daily activities such as cooking and cleaning; I also have been going outside more to run errands and enjoy the nice weather. I continue to have many doctors appointments and they are pleased with how well my recovery is going!

On Wednesday March 6th, 2024. As of Midnight Stephanie was given a new heart. The surgery went great and now she is on the road to recovery.
