Addy is a 17 year old girl who is very social, loves being outside in nature, going on walks, bird watching, and discovering anything creepy or crawly. She loves all things cats and must have the sound of crackling fire to fall asleep.
Addy was born at 24 weeks and suffers from a multitude of diagnoses as a result of her severe prematurity. She will need total care both for her daily and medical needs for the rest of her life and special attention must always be taken to keep her healthy as a result of her low immunity.
Since Addy is in a wheelchair she desperately needs a wheelchair accessible van, especially because she is having kyphoscoliosis surgery in July and it will be impossible to get her in her car seat after that life changing procedure. I am hoping to raise enough money to cover at least the conversion on a van ($25,000) by the middle of June.
After, the $25,000 is raised the fundraising won’t end, as there will always be medical related expenses for the rest of Addy’s life.
The remainder of the donations will go towards other medical expenses over the course of her life, such as modifications we need to make on our home, medical related expenses for visits at the Children’s Hospital two hours away, costs of non-covered medications, durable medical equipment and supplies and any other non-covered expenses she may accrue.
After Addy is feeling better after her surgery we plan to take her van for a drive and spend some quality time together in nature, bird watching and searching for the creepiest of the crawlers!
We appreciate your support and donation to Help Hope Live in Addy’s honor, your generosity and kindness is truly appreciated by our family.
