Make a Difference in Diane’s Life Diane is a courageous woman, who has living with a deteriorating kidney condition that was caused by a childhood disease. For over a year she has been on dialysis for 8 hours a day. A transplant is now her only chance of survival. Through all of this, her determination and fight for life are incredibly admirable and encouraging. Currently, Diane is on the kidney transplant list at Buffalo General Hospital. Because of the extraordinary expense of transplantation, funding this life-saving operation is a monumental task. Despite having insurance, she will have many uninsured transplant related medical expenses and these costs will need to be paid out-of-pocket. These expenses will include co-pays and deductibles, along with the enormous cost of lifelong immunosuppressant medications. This presents a challenge Diane cannot meet alone. To help offset Diane’s uninsured costs, a fundraising campaign in her honor has been established with HelpHOPELive. HelpHOPELive is a nonprofit organization that has been assisting the transplant community for nearly 30 years. All contributions are administered by HelpHOPELive exclusively for uninsured transplant-related expenses. Donations are tax-deductible to the full extent allowed by law.
