Todd was diagnosed in January 2022 with End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) and is on the United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS) list.
Todd has live donors being processed! He is looking forward to his life with a new kidney. He is expecting his surgery to be scheduled soon.
The ugly truth is the cost of care associated with ESRD and transplant is astronomical.
The immediate concern is the cost for the 6 week stay after the transplant.
The Methodist Transplant Institute requires Todd to be within thirty minutes of the facility to ensure successful recovery. Home is not an option as it is two hours away.
He is asking for support in raising $20,000 to assist with the cost of care and associated transplant costs.
Any donation, big or small, is a blessing and provides the means for Todd to focus on his health.
