Dear friends, family, and compassionate supporters,
My name is CrumbleBody and eight years ago, my life took an unexpected turn when I was diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS), a rare genetic condition that has profoundly impacted my health and well-being.
For those who know me, call me a fighter. Despite facing constant pain and numerous medical challenges, I’ve dedicated myself to supporting others with EDS, tirelessly advocating for myself during countless doctor’s appointments and hospital visits. However, the toll on my body has been immense as EDS affects your entire body.
One of the most debilitating aspects of my condition is my Tethered Spinal Cord, which has caused me to experience nine episodes of partial paralysis in the past few years alone. Each time, I lose the ability to stand and walk for days on end, enduring excruciating pain and fearing the next episode.
The only hope for me to regain my mobility and prevent further paralysis is through specialized surgeries. However, my state insurance doesn’t cover the procedure, deeming it non-essential. As a result, I have been unable to access the care I desperately need.
My medical team has stressed the urgency of these surgeries, emphasizing that delaying treatment further could have devastating consequences for my health. With each passing day, my condition worsens, and the window of opportunity for intervention narrows. I have already waited three years for surgery but considering the current physical damage, the urgency is ever so real and I refuse to let financial barriers stand in the way of my chance for a better life.
That’s why I am turning to you, my community, for support. I need to travel to another state, where two skilled EDS neurosurgeons will perform the necessary surgeries to release my Tethered Spinal Cord and address other spinal damage.
I know that $80,000 is a big ask and a goal that I need to make within a few short months but I wouldn’t be asking for your help to raise the funds needed for my surgeries and post-operative care, if I didn’t have faith in the goodness of your hearts. Your contribution, no matter the size, will make a tangible difference in my life and the lives of my two young children.
Even though I have struggled with this debilitating medical condition, I continue to be a caring and loving parent to my children. My local care team would vouch that I have never let my medical condition impair my ability to be a present mom who is involved in every aspect of their daily lives. These surgeries will help me be an even better parent!
Together, let’s hope for a brighter future—one where I can move without pain, walk without fear, and enjoy precious moments with my family. Your generosity will not only change my life but also remind me that I’m not alone in this journey.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your compassion and support.
With gratitude,
CrumbleBody G.

Hello Everyone,I hope you are all in the best of health and spirits. As September comes to an end, I wanted to take a moment to share an update. My deepest gratitude to all the new donors in the past month and a half. There are some who have shared their names but also, there are lots and lots of anonymous donors. It's through your generous support, from near and far, that we have raised over $54,000. That's huge!!! You all are a testament to how much good is still left in this world. Your kindness touches my heart and brings tears in my eyes because we are SO close to making my goal for the Spinal Cord Surgery. You have donated, messaged here, texted me, shared the fundraising link with your families and friends (over and over again), and advocated for me tirelessly over the last few months in order to help me raise the funds. I wish I were able to return the favor or at least send a personalized thank you note to each and everyone of you. But for now, please accept my gratitude and thanks through this update. Your reward is with the God Almighty and may you all be blessed with peace and good health in your lives!Love,Crumblebody G.
***UPDATE:
Dear family, friends, and wonderful supporters,
I wanted to thank each and everyone of you whether you donated under your name or anonymously, small or big, wrote in the guestbook or not, whether I personally know you or not, you all helped me reach over $40,000 within three months. It is because of your kindness that I have made it to the half way mark.
Now I am asking you to please help me get to my goal asap by sharing this fundraising link with your family, friends, co-workers, in your social circles, your mosques, churches, temples, and synagogues, your book and golf clubs, with your kids softball team parents or the girl scouts parents, etc. The point is, I can get this lifesaving surgery done only with your continuous support by sharing it far and wide. You have no idea how big of a difference you all will be making in my life and my children.
Please keep the prayers and your support messages coming in the guestbook because I read each and everyone of them. Let's get to $80,000!!!
Thank you so much again and God bless you all!
I am grateful to each and everyone of you for your support and prayers. It is due to your generosity that we have raised over $32,000 within a month. Let's keep spreading the word far and wide and please help me reach my goal of getting these surgeries asap. May God bless you tenfold for your support, ameen.
