Thank you for considering donating! I have a genetic mutation called Homozygous MTHFR C677T that went untreated for 28.5 years which exasperated various symptoms, resulting in diagnoses of Major Depressive Disorder, Hypermobility, Fibromyalgia, Hypoglycemia, Psychogenic Non-Epileptic Seizures, CPTSD, OCD, ADHD, and Autism. There is hope that I can heal from some of these conditions if I am consistent with my care plan.
My current monthly medical necessities that are NOT covered by my medical insurance are: $100.00/mo – glucose monitor (new device every 2 weeks) $62.35/mo – Naltrexone (daily medication) $25.00/mo – Xanax (anxiety medication, as needed) $140/mo – Injections for MTHFR ($70, twice a month) $12.83/mo – Optimized Folate (daily medication).
TOTAL = $240.18/month.
My medical team consists of 10 different providers around SLO County, a caregiver, and my lovely neighbor who takes me to the pool for physical therapy. I am fortunate that majority of my medical costs are covered by CenCal since I am unemployed with $0 income. Unfortunately I have $1,000+ in outstanding medical bills that I have been unable to catch up on, but I do not want this to deter me from receiving care and medications that I need on a regular basis.
I AM SEEKING WORK. I meet with a Job Specialist from Department of Rehabilitation every week. I have had ONE interview despite sending out 80+ applications. I am seeking something remote & part-time from 1-5pm M-F. Unfortunately once I do get a job, I will likely be kicked off of my health insurance and/or my medical costs will increase.
Every dollar helps! I would literally not be able to follow through with what my medical providers’ recommend for my case, manage my daily symptoms mindfully, nor afford the medications I need, without the financial support of my community and CenCal Insurance. Thank you so much for considering donating to my medical case.
