Please meet my best friend, Lori Rendón. In the many years I have known her, she has exemplified selflessness and resilience and touched many lives with her kindness and generosity. She has dedicated her life to caring for her four children, a 90+-year-old father, her late mother, and her brother with special needs, all while managing the challenges of running her own business and battling her autoimmune disease. Now, Lori faces her most brutal battle yet: interstitial lung disease has progressed to the point where she urgently needs a double lung transplant.
Lori’s journey has been one of courage and determination. She has always met life’s many challenges with a positive spirit, never backing down, even in the face of adversity. Lori has always been a giver, putting the needs of others before hers. Now, as she waits on the transplant registry for that critical call, Lori needs our help more than ever.
While insurance will cover a significant portion of the transplant costs, many expenses will not be included: hospital copays, specialized anti-rejection medications, rehabilitation, and other unforeseen expenses. Lori is reliant on an oxygen tank to breathe. Having to wear oxygen all the time significantly impacts her quality of life, she can’t walk far without struggling for breath and feeling completely exhausted. Lori is in a constant state of unrelenting fatigue and has had to close her business to focus on her health. The limited income she receives from the state barely covers her monthly living expenses and nothing more.
Lori has always been there for her loved ones and her community, and now I humbly ask you to be there for her. Your support can make a world of difference in Lori’s fight for a second chance at life. Every donation, regardless of size, brings her one step closer to recovery, a future filled with quality time with her friends and family, and her favorite pastime—rooting for the San Francisco 49ers!
Please join me in supporting Lori’s journey to breathe freely again. Together, we can help her overcome this incredible challenge by easing her financial burden and showing her the love and support she has always given so freely to others.
Donate today and be a part of Lori’s fight for life. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Love,
Denyse
