In 1998, Teresa was diagnosed with Polycystic Kidney Disease and is now in End Stage Renal Failure. She has been hospitalized and had numerous surgeries including having both kidneys removed. Her doctors at Virginia Mason Medical Center have told us that her only option is a life-saving kidney transplant.
Dialysis now keeps her alive while we await a transplant. Since on dialysis, she has gone to the ER several times due to low blood pressure. Her blood pressure drops so low now, I wonder if she will still be with us when we wake up. A transplant will save Teresa’s life and provide her with the hope of being here to see her children grow up and have children of their own.
Even with insurance, there are many expenses associated with a transplant that must be paid out of pocket. Some of these are co-pays and deductibles, and Teresa will be on a lifetime of anti-rejection medications. This puts us up against a challenge we cannot meet alone and your help and support is needed.
A fundraising campaign in Teresa’s honor has been established with HelpHOPELive, a nonprofit organization that has been assisting the transplant community for 30 years. All donations are tax-deductible, are held by HelpHOPELive in the Northwest Kidney Transplant Fund, and are administered by HelpHOPELive for transplant related expenses only.

Hi everyone, Its been a long few years since I have updated this. After several hear issues over a couple of years I am Back on the transplant list. It’s been nine long years and could still be several more. With my O+ blood type and how many abnormal antibodies it makes it hard to find a kidney. My family and I are hanging in there and trying to be hopeful.
I am finally active on the transplant list.
On 11/9/15 I got my first call for a kidney, but it didn't work out. It means I'm at the top if the list, so it could happen soon.
Thank you to everyone that has help. We are very grateful.
I am doing well. Just finishing up dental work so I can be placed as ACTIVE on the transplant list.
I would love to know who visited my page. Please sign my guest book.
I also would like to Thank everybody for the love and support they have shown me and my family.

I received a kidney/pancreas in 2011. Best of luck to you! Pack your go bag for the hospital! It is financially devastating. I wish I had thought of this. I'm well now, but still recovering financially or I would donate. I did want to wish you luck tho! XO
