Help Kimberlee get moving!!!
Kimberlee grew up in Owasso, Oklahoma. She had a lot of great friends there, but her dream was to move to New York to become a writer. Leaving behind the life she knew in Oklahoma, she followed her dream in 2017. She built a beautiful life finding new friends and her fiancé Steven.
Tragedy hit 11/4/2021. When Kim was 33 years old she had a stroke in the worst possible location, the basilar artery. Doctors told us the prognosis was not good. Kimberlee was in a coma for approximately 18 months. One day while visiting Kimberlee, I noticed she started to move her eyes acknowledging we were there. Shortly after she started to try to mouth words to communicate with us. Today, in 2024 Kimberly is learning to speak and eat again.
We have teamed up with Help Hope Live to raise money for some items that will be necessary for Kim to COME HOME!
Funds will be used for a handicap minivan for Kim, a motorized wheelchair and rehabilitation services.
We cannot believe how God has blessed her with this miraculous recovery. We hope to get Kim the therapy she needs to recover and return to her two loves, Steven and writing.
Kimberlee has chosen to fundraise for Help Hope Live because they ensure fiscal accountability of funds raised and tax deductibility for contributors. Contributors can be sure donations will be used to pay or reimburse medical and related expenses. To make a tax-deductible donation to this fundraising campaign, click on the Give button.

Thank you for your support!
Hello! Kim is making incredible progress every day, but she still faces many challenges. One of the biggest hurdles right now is reliable transportation to her medical appointments. Often, Kim and her mom have to wait 2-3 hours for a ride, which makes an already difficult situation even harder.Your donations can make a real difference in getting Kim the transportation she needs. With your support, we're hoping to provide a handicap-accessible van by Thanksgiving, so she no longer has to endure these long waits.Every contribution helps bring us one step closer to this goal. We are so grateful for your generosity and compassion. Thank you for making a difference in Kim's journey!
Dear friends and family,We wanted to take a moment to share an update on our journey toward securing a handicap-accessible van. Thanks to your generosity, love, and encouragement, we’ve made meaningful progress — both financially and emotionally. As many of you know, reliable and accessible transportation is not just a convenience for us — it’s a lifeline. It means being able to get to doctor’s appointments, therapy sessions, family gatherings, and simply enjoy the freedom of mobility that so many take for granted.Every single dollar brings us one step closer to a van that can safely accommodate Kim and make everyday life more manageable. We still have a ways to go, and we’re asking for your continued support — whether that means sharing our story, spreading the word, or donating if you’re able. Every act of kindness makes a difference. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for walking this road with us. We are so grateful to have such a strong community standing beside us.

I am a long time COJ reader and always admired the way Kimberlee took risks and went after her dreams. Kimberlee comes to my mind often. It is wonderful to know that her resilient and brave spirt is still here and shining through.
