Over the past couple months Jeremy's truck has been getting a face lift. For years Jeremy has wanted to do a total rebuild on it. His boys have been amazing about coming over after working all day and pitching in on body work and paint on the truck. This week the cab was officially done. Painted and put back together. It was an emotional time as the boys were working so hard to put it all back together, Jeremy was in treatment. Our amazing daughter-in-law was taking pictures of the whole process and bringing them in for Jeremy to see so he could be part. They really went above and beyond to include their dad. Jeremy's goal is to get the truck done enough for the car show on October 5. Jeremy looks forward to days when he can be the one out there putting the truck together. Check out the pictures I just had to share.
With only 4 weeks until the car show we are getting nervous about getting everything done. But we are so excited to see everyone! All of Jeremy’s heart tests came back great. We are hoping that will be the last testing for a while. Until closer to transplant anyway. Jeremy is feeling well. He has been trying to get his truck ready for the show. It is hard when he doesn’t have the stamina that he used to. He gets frustrated with the fatigue and muscle weakness. But we know it is only for awhile until he gets his new kidney and pancreas. Please continue to keep Jeremy in your prayers as he continues his fight!
Jeremy is so grateful for all of your generosity. We are gathering donations for the silent auction as well as door prizes for the car show. He had his heart Cath test on Tuesday. Needless to say we were not prepared for the invasive nature of the procedure. Recovery was tough but he powered through. With only one more test for his heart we are excited to get him active on the list for his pancreas and kidney. He is currently gaining credit hours and has been for a year and half. We have been told that the double transplants tend to come quicker. We are hoping that to be the case. In the meantime he continues to amaze me everyday with his strength and faith to get through this.
We have been busy getting ready for the Kidney and cars car show for Jeremy. It's a lot of work, but it's a labor of love. We hope that you will be able to join us for an amazing journey of cars, food, prizes and so very much more. We look forward to seeing you there.
Today we went out and started getting donations and speaking with people about the up coming car show for Jeremy in October. It was really great to talk with people who love Jeremy so much and want to see him receive this gift. Jeremy rode along and went in to a few places. It was so touching to see the joy he bought in the room. We just know that if we work really hard we will make this goal for him, and he will have that new kidney and pancreas in no time.
Jeremy is an active father and loving husband, who was diagnosed with kidney failure due to complications with diabetes in February 2023. He has been approved for a double transplant including pancreas and kidney, and is now awaiting donation.
An automotive enthusiast, Jeremy has worked and played with all things motorized from a young age. He was often found outside working in the yard, hunting or fishing before his kidney failure. Jeremy has been known to his friends to be the most dependable and first person you call when anyone needs a hand.
Since his diagnosis, Jeremy has been tied down to treatment. Missing out on social events with family and friends has defiantly taken its toll on Jeremy's well being. He misses going to work each day and being the amazing provider he has always been. Treatment and the disease cause Jeremy to have a lack of stamina and often feel fatigued.
Jeremy is fundraising for the cost of being closer to his transplant team, and the extended stay that will be required for him and his loving care giver (his wife). He will need to be in OKC for a minimum stay of a month following his transplant. He will need to help cover the copays for medication, hospital and drs. And then there will be the life long journey of post transplant follow-up. Jeremys fundraising team is estimating the costs to be around $10,000. These costs could easily double or even triple if there are complications.
Jeremy is looking forward to his kidney and pancreas transplant allowing him to resume some past normalcy in his life. Returning to work and being able to help family and friends with activities are his post transplant goals.
We all have battles to fight, now we are asking for your help on Jeremys fight. please donate to Help hope live in Jeremys honor if you are able. Please share his story with family and friends. There is a benefit car show for Jeremy on October 5th at Throttle Junkies Java House in Lone Grove OK. This is the first fundraiser in many to come for Jeremy. If you would like to help with raising funds for this amazing man, please reach out to his wife, Tammy, at [email protected]. If you are able to donate today, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Lets help get Jeremy back to helping others as he loves to do.
