Family and friends of Tina Fiedler are raising money for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to fund uninsured medical expenses associated with a Transplant. Tina has chosen to fundraise with Help Hope Live in part because donations are tax deductible for contributors and will only be used to cover medical and related expenses. In 2019 Tina was diagnosed with COPD, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease. By the summer of 2023 she had progressed to Stage 4 COPD, making it hard to do basic daily tasks. In October of 2023 she started exploring different treatments and procedures only to find that her only option would be to have a lung transplant. It has been a long journey with lots of doctor appointments and testing since then. Previous to her diagnosis Tina was always very active and hardworking! She loved gardening and going to her grandchildren’s sporting events. Since her rapid decline Tina was forced to retire early and sporting events have been getting harder and harder to get to. With new lungs Tina will be able to get back to watching her grandchildren play sports and get her back out to her garden. As you can imagine, the cost of Tina’s surgery and aftercare will be extreme. Even with insurance she will face many out-of-pocket expenses. As we prepare for Tina’s transplant we need your support now more than ever! Donations to Help Hope Live can help ease the financial burden she will be facing and give Tina the chance to breathe easy again!
On April 10th 2025 Tina finally received a right lung transplant.
