CMT-2A, Charcot-Marie-Tooth. Thank you for stopping by to visit Shavon’s page! She is raising money for a much needed wheelchair accessible van. Shavon was not always wheelchaired, but she did always have this disease.
At age 4, she was diagnosed with this disease and we have slowly watched her go from being able bodied to fully wheelchaired. There is nothing she is able to do for herself except play the piano with 1 hand. She has been taking piano almost a year now and she finds it to be a place where she can be at peace.
We do not know what the future will hold for her and neither do her host of doctors. Some days she is unable to do anything, some days her breathing bothers her, other days she has to deal with her body just doing many involuntary things. We do know that we will continue to care for her every need and make sure she lives as happy of life as she can live.
Any donation given will be greatly appreciated and it is our prayer that you are blessed in return for your giving. Please view the video link to learn more about the disease which she has had to learn to live with.
Bless you all!
