The real blow came when doctors diagnosed him with Pulmonary Fibrosis, a relentless autoimmune disease that hardens the lungs, making every breath a struggle.Since that diagnosis, Eric has been living on oxygen, fighting to breathe. Tasks we take for granted—walking to the bathroom or climbing stairs—are monumental challenges for him. As his condition worsened, the only hope left was a lung transplant.In a twist of fate, Eric was blessed to be added to the Lung Transplant list. Miraculously, within just one month, donor lungs became available. But the battle is far from over. The surgery was long and dangerous but thank God successful. The road to recovery will be a year-long journey filled with challenges.During this time, Eric will be unable to work.
