Sabeerah is a 33-year-old DJ, festival producer, and disability advocate who was born with Spina Bifida and has used a wheelchair for mobility her entire life. But her disability has never defined her limits. Raised with the belief that nothing was off-limits, Sabeerah built a life rooted in purpose, creativity, and service to her community.
She’s DJ’d at iconic events like Coachella (four times!), the Soulection Experience, and has opened for EDM legend Mr. Carmack. She’s also helped produce events for Edelman, Reddit, and Live Nation. More than that, Sabeerah has dedicated the past five years to creating programs that amplify disabled and BIPOC voices — building pathways for others while pushing boundaries in her own life.
But despite her success, Sabeerah faces one of the most basic and persistent barriers to her independence: transportation.
Sabeerah is fundraising for a wheelchair-accessible vehicle — not just to pursue her work, but to meet urgent health needs. Reliable access to medical appointments and physical therapy is essential for managing her condition and maintaining her long-term health. Unfortunately, public transportation and Access Paratransit — the transit service designated for disabled riders — are often unreliable and time-restrictive, frequently causing delays or missed appointments.
These vehicles — custom-modified for safe, independent driving — can cost up to $100,000 and are not covered by insurance. Without one, even getting to a doctor’s visit can take hours, reduce her energy, and result in gaps in care. This campaign is about restoring basic dignity and making sure Sabeerah has access to the consistent, high-quality care she deserves.
With your support, Sabeerah will gain the freedom to protect her health, reduce stress, and reclaim the energy she pours into her art and community. She’ll be able to get to essential appointments, reduce her dependence on unreliable systems, and improve her overall quality of life.
Every dollar helps. Please donate to Help Hope Live in Sabeerah’s honor — and share this story with those who believe in equity, access, and care.
Together, let’s make mobility, health, and independence possible.
11/30/2025 Update: Hi everyone, just wanted to give you all the update on this new-ish campaign. This campaign was initially going to be a fundraiser for my accessible vehicle. However, due to the unforeseen circumstance with my scooter, I needed to raise funds for a replacement. Thanks to you all, I now have my replacement scooter, and I'm back pursuing my original goal of having a wheelchair accessible vehicle!
9/5/2025 Update: Hi everyone! I just wanted to thank everyone for your love and support. I'm happy to announce that, thanks to you all, I was able to replace my scooter. I genuinely love being a giver, and it's always a humbling experience to be on the receiving end. My community means everything to me. Having been able to lean on my community for that support beyond the music is a blessing that I can never take for granted. Thank you all for your shares, donations, comments, care, and love!!!
This past weekend in Orange County, Sabeerah’s essential scooter attachment was stolen. The device, which connects to her wheelchair and provides powered mobility, was a vital part of her independence — helping her navigate outdoor spaces, travel long distances, and stay active in her community.
Hey everyone, just a quick update. We've pretty almost met goal!! First, I just want to the time to thank each and every one of you for your love and support. The situation has taught me a huge lesson in being more aware of my surroundings and diligent when it comes to my own devices and equipment's security. This has also taught me a huge lesson in embracing community and being embraced.I love y'all so much!

Disheartened to hear that someone would STEAL A SCOOTER ATTACHMENT FOR A WHEELCHAIR but actions speak louder than words and I definitely hope mercury being in retrograde hits them 1000000-fold. Regardless, Sabeerah know you are loved by so many people and your community is here to support <3
