Chris McIntosh with son, Kyle and daughter, Brynn
Dear Friends and Family,
First, I would like to, once again, sincerely thank everyone who has contributed to my fund, supported me in anyway, or prayed for my continued well being. I am so eternally grateful to each of you.
As you may recall, I have been waiting for a kidney transplant since May 2007. I recently received some discouraging news when I was told that the wait could now be about a year longer than anticipated. I had looked forward to receiving this gift-of-life as soon as this year.
Due to the construction recession, I lost my job in October 2008. I started my own estimating business from home to fit my odd schedule of dialysis (three times per week) and the spontaneous bouts of nausea and cramping that I periodically experience. The construction industry has not only continued to be slow, and may in fact be worse this year. Making a living on my strange schedule and in these tough economic times is a challenge to say the least.
It is so humbling to have to ask again for your help. I know God has His purposes, but I would so strongly prefer to make my own living and pave my own way. But, for now, I am unable to do that.
For those who don’t know, a fundraising campaign in my honor has been established with HelpHOPELive. HelpHOPELive is a nonprofit organization that has been assisting the transplant community for nearly 30 years. All contributions are tax-deductible and are administered by HelpHOPELive for transplant-related expenses only.
I am praying that, knowing of this need, you may be moved to again make a single or on-going tax-deductible donation to help me. If you are able to make a donation of any kind, I cannot think of how to properly show my appreciation. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
