My name is Jon and am 40 years old . I recently got married for the first time, and my wife and I are expecting our first child.
I was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease at 16, and this year with Primary Sclerosis Cholangitis and Cholangiocarcinoma. This has lead to fatigue, jaundice, abdominal pain, and cancer.
I have been approved for radiation therapy treatment followed by a liver transplant. I am big on family unity. I enjoy spending holidays playing board games with my extended family. I am an avid ice hockey fan and love to play on my local men’s league. For the past few years, I have been a caregiver for my veteran dad.
Since the SPC diagnosis has damaged my liver, I have not been able to spend the time I would like with my pregnant wife. I struggle most with the lack of family time. My sleep schedule, strict diet, and jaundice make me very fatigued.
I am fundraising to help with the cost of relocating closer to the transplant team as well as copay’s and medication. My hope is that after the liver transplant, I can get back to helping my mother care for my dad. But most of all to spend quality time with my wife and watch my child grow up.
Jonathan has struggled with Crohn’s disease almost all his life. He had major surgery taking out part of his intestine, and now doctors have found cancer cells in his liver. At the age of 40, Jonathan is expecting the birth of his first child, as well as battling liver cancer. He will undergo radiation therapy and a liver transplant. Please help Jonathan make a full recovery and continue his life with his wife and baby daughter.
I would like to thank everyone who as stood with me throughout this difficult time.
My wife just had a baby girl. I haven’t been able to see them due to my health. I have one last round of chemo to finish then I will be on the transplant list. Please donate so that I can be there for my wife and daughter
