Help Hope Live for Todd Blake

Todd has been battling non-alcoholic liver cirrhosis for over six years. Unfortunately, his symptoms have significantly worsened, and his medical team has determined that a liver transplant is his best hope for survival and improved quality of life. The costs associated with a liver transplant are overwhelming. From pre-transplant to post-operative care and lifelong medications, the financial burden is immense. Your kindness and generosity can give Todd the chance to live a healthier, happier life and continue to be the loving husband and father we all adore.Family and friends of Todd Blake are raising money for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to fund uninsured medical expenses associated with a Transplant. Todd has chosen to fundraise with Help Hope Live in part because donations are tax deductible for contributors and will only be used to cover medical and related expenses.

We are so thrilled to announce that on January 2nd, 2026, Todd received a call from Duke, stating they had a liver. He made it through surgery and is now recovering at home. We are so grateful for all of the continued support. It will be a long road, but we are so relieved that Todd can start this year with a healthy liver.

Hello Todd, my name is Patty Schmalzriedt Erker and I am Emil’s youngest daughter. Your Grandfather , Carl and Grandmother Midge were wonderful. I loved them so much. I was much younger than my brother and sister by seven and nine years so when I would go to visit my aunt Midge and uncle Carl, they would spoil me. One day, aunt Mitch, your grandmother took me out in the front yard and buried a quarter and said that it was gonna grow into a money tree. After that every time I went to their house, I would go outside and there would be a quarter or two laying in the spot where we buried the first quarter I was amazed

I am so sorry to hear that you and Dawn suffer from this disease. I know this is just a little bit, but I hope it helps. You will both be in my nightly prayers from now on.
