Help Hope Live for Rosemary Stoddard

My name is Rosemary and I am 62 years old. I unfortunately was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis on March 31, 2023. I have been married to my kind, loving husband for 39 years. Together we raised a beautiful daughter Jessica who is so incredibly kind hearted and is always there for everyone, especially me through this diagnosis. We also have a sweet pup named Stanley and a cat named Maude. I am originally from Massachusetts and we moved to South Carolina in 2015 due to my husband having CMT which affects his muscles in his arms and legs. The warmer weather in the south has helped him tremendously which has made it possible for him to be there for me- especially since my diagnosis and all of the hurdles that we have had to face since. I love to read, camp, crochet, and watch Hallmark Christmas movies. But above all- my favorite thing to do is to be with my family and friends and I’m so incredibly blessed to have the loving relationship I have with all of them.

I struggle the most with everyday tasks and accepting the fact that I can’t help with simple things like I used to. I just want to be able to have a normal life again and enjoy walks on the beach or on the Riverwalk. I would absolutely love to go back and help work the Fall Festival weekends on the farm like I used to. This fundraising is to help with the amount for the transplant surgery that insurance does not cover and relocation fees (as we have to relocate for up to 6 months to be within the distance requirements of the hospital). I appreciate everyone who is able to help as I navigate through this process. I know that it takes a village and I’m so blessed to have the one I have. I am fighting as hard as I can for my family who I love dearly.

Rosemary is 6 weeks post double lung transplant surgery. She is still in ICU. She has had a really rough time since surgery. She spent weeks on a ventilator, she still on a dialysis machine all day long. She had had issues with afibrillation and low blood pressure. She is getting better but it’s going to be a long process. Please keep supporting our fundraising campaign.
