Urgent Help Needed for John “Ed” Simmons. Ed has been diagnosed with cancer and urgently needs a liver transplant. To remain eligible for the transplant, Ed must stay close to the hospital at all times, ready for the life-saving call. Leaving his job, which required out-of-state travel, has added financial strain to the medical expenses and related costs his family is now facing. Ed is fighting with everything he has—for his family, his friends, and his life. We know times are tough for so many, and we are deeply grateful for any support our community can offer during this challenging time. All funds raised will go toward covering Ed’s medical expenses and related costs, easing the financial burden so he can focus on his health and recovery. Other ways to help include organizing a fundraiser, donating a service, sharing this post, or keeping Ed in your prayers.Thank you for your love, support, and encouragement. Together, we’re holding onto hope for the life-saving call soon. Family and friends of Ed Simmons are raising money for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to fund uninsured medical expenses associated with a transplant. Ed has chosen to fundraise with Help Hope Live in part because donations are tax deductible for contributors and will only be used to cover medical and related expenses.
