Janet tiene 53 años y desde su niñez ha padecido de enfermedades pulmonares. Al pasar de los años la condición se fue complicando a COPD Y Bronquiestasis y lleva mas de 10 años luchando con esta enfermedad.
A Janet siempre le ha gustado hacer manualidades, poner su casa bonita y compartir con amigos y familiares. A raíz de su enfermedad de COPD y Bronquiestasis su vida se ha limitado en hacer todo lo que disfrutaba, sin poder salir de su casa tomando medicamentos diarios, terapias respiratorias 3 veces al día, hospitalizaciones de hasta 5 veces al año y tener que depender de un oxígeno 24/7.
En el 2024 los pulmones de Janet estaban trabajando un 21% necesitando un transplante de pulmón. Janet se mudó a Jacksonville, Florida para la operación del transplante la cual fue un éxito. Luego de la exitosa operación, ahora Janet tiene que tomar cantidades de medicamentos de por vida lo cual algunos no son cubiertos por el plan médico y otros un co pagos altos.Es necesario que Janet tome esos medicamentos para que su cuerpo no rechace el órgano inplantado.
Janet desea vivir una vida lo mas cercano a lo normal, poder compartir en familia y volver hacer sus actividades cotidianas.

Janet is 53 years old and has suffered from lung diseases since childhood. As the years went by, the condition became complicated to COPD and Bronchistasis and she has been fighting with this disease for more than 10 years.
Janet has always loved making crafts, making her house beautiful, and spending time with friends and family. As a result of his COPD and Bronchistasis disease, her life has been limited in doing everything she enjoyed, without being able to leave her house, taking daily medications, respiratory therapies 3 times a day, hospitalizations up to 5 times a year and having to depend on an oxygen 24/7.
In 2024 Janet’s lungs were working at 21% requiring a lung transplant. Janet moved to Jacksonville, Florida for the transplant operation which was a success. After the successful operation, Janet now has to take quantities of medications for life, some of which are not covered by the medical plan and others with high co-payments. It is necessary for Janet to take these medications so that her body does not reject the implanted organ. .
Janet wants to live a life as close to normal as possible, to be able to spend time with her family and return to her daily activities.
