Family and friends of Justin Tankersley are raising money for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to fund uninsured medical expenses associated with a Transplant. Justin has chosen to fundraise with Help Hope Live in part because donations are tax deductible for contributors and will only be used to cover medical and related expenses. Continue Reading ?Justin is a 47 year old Father of 2, with an (Intellectually Disabled) special needs daughter (Emily) & his son (Lance) who he adopted as his own. He is in need of a life saving Heart transplant and is not able to cover medical expenses that come with it. In the year of 2016, Justin was working hard at a job site and experienced a cardiac emergency. An Angel was near by and contacted the medics. He was hanging by a thread to life as his heart was beating rapidly & out of control. Medics arrived and with Angels by his side he was stabilized. He then underwent surgery to have a defibrillator inserted. The journey for the next 9 years were filled with many doctors, medications, surgeries and unfortunate medical setbacks. Justin was shocked by the defibrillator ,due to arrhythmia 8 times. He had 4 ablations surgeries . After countless efforts from numerous doctors and specialists and many medications, the unfortunate news came that his heart is not responding or getting better but getting worse. Justin’s heart is currently operating at only 23%. Justin has been strong through this and has continued to work and be the best dad he can be. He has continued to participate with special Olympics and the special needs community in support of his daughter Emily. He has continued to support his son Lance in any way he can. He has continued to be a good friend and a great employee to a wonderful Boss and company. Justin would love to continue to be here on earth as long as possible just as all of us would. He would love to continue to be surrounded by family and friends. He would love be here for his dependent special needs daughter Emily, & help her and watch her grow into a Lovely Lady. He would love to be here for his son, provide for him and watch him grow into a man.
