Let’s Give Kimberly the Chance to See Her Grandchildren Grow Up!
Hey! My name is Kimberly Morgan, and I am reaching out to share my story and seek your support during this critical time in my life.
As a 51-year-old mother of one beautiful daughter, Trinity, and grandmother to three precious munchkins —Zuri, Zion, and Zen, I have always cherished the joys of family. However, for the past six years, I have been unable to fully experience those joys due to my battle with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis, which is a progressive and incurable lung disease. At the time of my diagnosis in 2022, my doctors advised that lung transplantation was the only way to improve my quality of life.
IPF has significantly impacted my ability to live independently. I now face daily challenges that I used to take for granted. This conditioning is debilitating and affects simple activities of daily living that the average person doesn’t notice. Things such as sleeping, eating, running, walking, and even having a simple conversation. However, my faith in God and my tenacity to keep pushing through the health setbacks and numerous hospitalizations, I have remained resilient. I have the will to Live!
I am currently participating in the UF Health Pre Lung-Transplant Evaluation in Gainesville, FL. Once completed, the medical review board will determine my eligibility to become a lung recipient. Lung surgery is a crucial process, and it comes with significant medical and financial burdens. I need to raise funds for medical, relocation, transportation as well as caregiver support.
My heartfelt hope is that with this transplant, I will have the chance to grow old alongside my grandchildren, witnessing their milestones and adventures. I kindly ask for your support in this journey. Please consider donating to HELP HOPE LIVE on my behalf and share this message with your friends and family who might be willing to help.
Thank you for your generosity and support during this challenging time.
Yours Truly,
Kimberly
Still working out in the gym!
Hey! I’m still at Shands. I’ve been progressing so well the doctors save ready for me to be discharged. However I still need enough money to secure a place. So I have to stay until I do. I know things will work out fine!
Apartment searching for temporary relocation.
I’ve graduated to the medical surgery unit no longer in ICU
I inherited my donor lungs on April 16, 2025. I am so deeply humbled and grateful.
