Family and friends of Cindy Hatler are raising money for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to fund uninsured medical expenses associated with a Transplant. Cindy has chosen to fundraise with Help Hope Live in part because donations are tax deductible for contributors and will only be used to cover medical and related expenses.
Cindy is a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and daughter. She spends most of her spare time trying new recipes and visiting the beach. Cindy has always been happy to house or pet sit for family and friends. Family is one of the most important things to her. From making sure the traditional ham dressing makes it to the Thanksgiving table to hosting sleepovers for all the cousins and her kid’s friends, Cindy makes sure family comes first.
On August 23, 2024, Cindy was diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver. After numerous tests and procedures the doctors have determined that a liver transplant is her only option. Since her diagnosis, Cindy finds it difficult to make those trips to the beach and spend quality time with loved ones. She currently struggles with a lack of energy and several other limitations, such as dietary restrictions and having to drink several daily protein shakes in order to achieve and maintain her goal weight in hopes to help rebuild muscle to assist with the recovery process after the transplant. Due to her liver currently not functioning, Cindy builds up toxins in her brain which leaves her unable to drive herself and often hinders her ability to focus for long periods of time.
Cindy is fundraising for the costs of traveling to and from appointments, assistance with living expenses while making those trips, as well as the transplant itself and any other associated medical costs.
