Hi, my name is Tamara Stringer. I’m 30 years old, and I’m humbly reaching out for your support as I face one of the biggest battles of my life: end-stage kidney failure.
My journey began when I was just 11 years old, after being diagnosed with juvenile type 1 diabetes. Over the years, this condition quietly took a toll on my kidneys. In 2021, I was diagnosed with stage one chronic kidney disease. At first, I didn’t feel too sick. But by 2024, my kidney function had dropped significantly. My nephrologist gave me the news I feared most—I needed to be placed on the kidney transplant list.
Living with kidney failure has impacted every part of my life. I’ve spent countless days in hospitals, away from my loved ones. The things I once took for granted—spending time with family and friends, planning my future, even just going outside—have become difficult.
Before I became ill, I had big dreams of becoming a pediatric nurse. I’ve always had a passion for helping children and wanted to dedicate my life to caring for others. Sadly, my health forced me to put those dreams on hold, but I haven’t given up.
A kidney transplant offers me the chance to live again—to get back to doing the things I love, to pursue my career, and to live a full, vibrant life. But the financial burden is overwhelming. Between ongoing medical bills, transplant-related expenses, and post-surgery medications, the costs are more than I can handle alone.
That’s why I’m asking for your help. Your donation—no matter the amount—will bring me closer to the transplant I so desperately need. It will give me hope, healing, and the opportunity to live again.
Thank you for reading my story. Thank you for believing in second chances. And thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for your support.
With love and hope,
Tamara Stringer
