Many would describe Avonlea as sweet, fragile and petite, but also a fighter with a lot of spunk! She loves horses, swimming, and generally anything social. Avonlea is confined to a wheelchair most of the time but does get to use a walker to get around school and her home. She is bright eyed and excited to share in a conversation with most everyone. Even with insurance, Avonlea has numerous uninsured medical expenses related to improving her quality of life.
To help with this financial burden, a fundraising campaign in Avonlea’s honor has been established with HelpHOPELive, a nonprofit organization that has been assisting the transplant community for 30 years. All donations are tax-deductible, are held by HelpHOPELive, and are administered by HelpHOPELive for transplant-related expenses only. Your contribution is greatly appreciated. Avonlea’s grandmother Barbara L. Miller or Yorktown passed away on December 13th, 2020. Memorial Contributions in her honor can be lease here. Barbara loved Avonlea a great deal and supported Help Hope Live.
