Merry Christmas and a very Blessed New Year to all.Jesus has come!"And the Soul Felt Its Worth" (from the Christmas hymn 'O Holy Night')

On January 18, 2023, our eldest daughter Katie was thrown a curveball; slang for something completely unexpected, surprising, or tricky that throws someone off. Described as a challenge, disruption, or something you did not see coming, catching someone off guard, forcing them to adapt quickly. A life event that deviates from the norm or expected path, designed to confuse or catch someone off guard, and is unpredictable. The term comes from baseball, where a pitcher throws a curveball that changes direction, making it hard to hit.

Katie's curveball is the diagnosis of Huntington's disease. Since that time, many truly miraculous things have aided Katie and her family in staying in the game. Here are a few.

Home Run number 1

The saying goes, "When life throws you a curveball, you can duck or swing." Katie has chosen to swing hard with God's perspective of Hope.

If you would like to understand this perspective, please read the blog Katie wrote a few months after receiving this dire diagnosis. You can read by clicking here.

Home Run number 2

Katie had been seeing a wonderful Christian doctor who incorporates functional medicine in his practice. Although he had never treated a patient with Katie's diagnosis, he took on the challenge. After much prayer and research with his wife, who is a nutritionist, the doctor and his staff started to treat Katie with diet, supplements, physical therapy, and natural treatments, including Ethical Umbilical Stem Cells and PRAYER. Miraculously, Katie has improved!!!!

Home Rune Number 3

Katie needed a new home with accommodations unique to her needs and closer to Mike's employment and the children's school. A new home was found with everything and more than they were looking for. It has a beautiful living area with large windows that let in lots of light, no basement, fewer stairs, more room for her family to gather and the children to play, sidewalks which lead to: a local library (Katie has her Master's in English) with lots of books, movies, and activities throughout the year, two parks for the children to play and gather with friends, many stores a short walk or drive away and a corner lot for the school bus to pick up and drop off.

Home Run number 4

Katie and Mike have faithfully been a part of a church plant that survived the pandemic, but it was now too far for their family's needs. To everyone's surprise, a church very close to their new home decided to gift their building with 9 acres, a building fund, some committed people, and children to Katie's church plant. The church had a Triple Baby Shower a few months ago. The first Basby Shower in 20 years

Home Run Number 5

Mike and Kate have decided to trust God and live in the moment.

Home Run Number 6

Mike started a new job on December 8th. The job is exactly what he was looking for, using his many skills, experience, and goals. Katie is stepping up to the challenges this has added to their lives.

Home Run Number 7

Katie's stem cell treatments were fully funded for 2025 through the generosity of those who were able to give financially.

Home Run Number 8

Although the game is not over, we are all learning that it is Our Heavenly Father, the ultimate umpire, who knows all the players, the field, the rain delays, the injuries, and the schedule. He is also by far the greatest pitcher, batter, and runner that anyone can have on their team. Praise Him from whom all good things come. James 1:17.

Please keep Katie and her family in your prayers. If you would like to support Katie with a tax-deductible financial gift, please use the following link for HelpHopeLive - Katie McIntyre Cocco

Ongoing gifts will be greatly appreciated to continue treatments through 2026.

Thank you to all who have supported Katie with your love, prayers, and financial donations.

Katie's treatments have been fully funded for 2025. Katie has been able to enjoy a stable quality of life by receiving these IV stem cell treatments. This is truly miraculous!!!!

Your generosity amazes us, and we are so grateful for it. Thank you to those who have consistently reminded us that Katie is in their prayers. We are relying on the Great Physician for her healing.

You may have heard that there have been worldwide announcements of groundbreaking breakthrough therapies now in FDA trials for Huntington's Disease. At this time, there are NO available options to cure this devastating disease. While we are hopeful that one of the breakthrough therapies may be part of Katie's future, at this point, she is continuing with the current treatments, which have been reducing her symptoms. Some have asked about Katie's ongoing financial needs. She will need an additional $75,000.00 for 2026 to maintain her current treatments. Donations for Katie through Help, Hope, Live are tax-deductible.

Please join us in whatever you feel led to give towards Katie's financial support for 2026. The following is a breakdown of how this is all a numbers game. 10 gifts of $7,500100 gifts of $7501000 gifts of $75Each adds up to the needed $75.000.00. Any amount will help to pay for the treatments that are allowing Katie a better quality of life. Thank you very much!!!

May this Holiday season bring Peace and Joy to each of you and your loved ones!
