Family and friends of Melina are raising money for the nonprofit Help Hope Live to fund uninsured medical expenses associated with a traumatic injury. Melina has chosen to fundraise with Help Hope Live in part because donations are tax deductible for contributors and will only be used to cover medical and related expenses.
I’m raising funds to support me as I navigates through this challenge. My treatment includes:, ongoing medical care, intensive rehab & physical therapy, adaptive equipment, caregivers, and home modifications to help support my journey to regain full mobility. I’m having to travel to get specialized care. Every dollar will go directly to my medical expenses, rehabilitation, travel needs, and the specialized care I’ll need to make a full recovery.
Three years ago my life changed when I got the Johnson & Johnson COVID vaccine. I got the vaccine at 3:00 p.m. and had to call paramedics as I couldn’t move at 10:00 p.m. The vaccine temporarily paralyzed the left side of my body causing paralysis and other symptoms, it also triggered an autoimmune condition in my body.
Learning to walk again is a full-time job and requires dedication and relentless training .For me the things that work are things that are not covered under insurance such as stem cell therapy , training at Sci-Fit , and athletic training .
I have been approved for Stem Cell Therapy . This treatment is specifically for autoimmune conditions and will not only improve my symptoms, but it will also reverse current symptoms and generate new cells within my body. This treatment is not covered by health insurance and is out of pocket. In addition, I will have rehab expenses at Sci-Fit.
Autoimmune conditions can cause a variety of symptoms. I am in need of a stem cell transplant as I have tried the most aggressive western medicine therapies with no results. Currently I am learning how to walk and doing rehabilitation to get function and mobility back. This point stem cell therapy is necessary to complete my recovery.
Symptoms that I deal with on a daily basis are as follows;
impaired mobility
dexterity issues with my hands
spasticity in my legs
stiffness in my legs and feet making it difficult to walk
weakness in my arms
Fatigue
My goal is to be able to run, hike and dance again. I know this treatment will help me reach those goals and will also allow me to help others’ .
