My name is Meagan, and I am the proud mom of my 15 yr old son, Miguel. He has been my greatest teacher and the strongest person I know. From the day he was born, Miguel has faced enormous challenges–He lives with Cerebral Palsy, a seizure disorder, autism spectrum disorder, and global developmental delays.
Despite everything, he faces each day with courage, love, and an incredible spirit. His smile can light up any room, and he has a special way of reminding everyone around him what truly matters.
As Miguel has grown, our daily life has changed in ways I never expected. He has outgrown me in height and weighs around 90 lbs, lifting him in and out of my truck for every appointment, errand, and outing has become unsafe for both of us. What use to be manageable has become dangerous and physically exhausting. I worry every day that one wrong move could lead to an injury for him or for me.
A wheelchair accessible van would completely transform our lives. It would allow Miguel to travel safely and comfortably while remaining in his wheelchair. For me, it would mean less fear, less strain and more freedom to give him the experiences he deserves– trips to therapy, doctors appointments, family gatherings and simply being apart of the world outside our home.
Unfortunately, these vans are extremely costly, and insurance doesn’t cover them. That’s why we’ve partnered with Help Hope Live, a trusted nonprofit organization that manages fundraising to help families like ours afford essential medical and mobility needs.
Every donation–big or small– brings us closer to safety, independence and peace of mind. Your generosity will help provide a secure, accessible vehicle for Miguel and make daily life safer for both of us.
If you’re not able to give, please consider sharing our story with others. Spreading awareness and kindness makes all the difference.
From the bottom of my heat, thank you for helping give my son the mobility, dignity and opportunities he deserves.
with Love,
Meagan & Miguel
We got some exciting news!! We will be hosting a CHIPOTLE fundraiser!! While celebrating Miguel and his BIG 16TH Bday. If you are in or near the Huber Heights area, JOIN US in the Celebration while also raising funds for Miguel's WheelChair Accessible van. If you're interested, I will have flyers that you can present when making your food purchase that will let them know you are donating to Help Hope Live in Honor of Miguel. More Details to follow. Thanks Everyone.
Hello All,We are gearing up for some fun and exciting fundraisers for Miguel and the Help Hope Live Greater Lakes Catastrophic Illness fund. It is my hope that we will get to do some raffles for some luxury items, gift cards, and more. Also, I am hoping we get approved for an easy and yummy fundraiser to celebrate Miguel as he turns 16 years old this year. Stay tuned!
Thank you to all who have given especially as this time of year which can be pretty hard to give. Every little bit helps and this means so much to me that there are folks out there that care about our situation.
