Help Support Danny After His Lung Transplant
For over 10 years Danny’s life has had to overcome challenges most of us never even have to think about. He has spent years in an electric wheelchair and on oxygen, just trying to make it through each day. Simple things like walking outside on a nice day and visiting friends without planning around tanks and cords haven’t been possible for a very long time.
Last October, Danny got the call we had all been hoping for. He was finally able to receive a lung transplant! This is a huge, life-changing moment for him. It gives him a real chance to not only just get by, but actually enjoy and live his life again.
While the transplant itself is an incredible gift, it also comes with a lot of serious costs, both in the short and long term.
Even with insurance, the expenses are overwhelming. There are hospital and ICU bills, surgery costs, medications he’ll need to take for the rest of his life, rehab, and frequent follow-up appointments. There are also travel and housing costs for visits back to the transplant center. All of this adds financial pressure at the worst possible time.
We want his recovery journey to be as stress free as possible. He has already overcome so much for so long. Our hope is that he can focus on healing, breathing easier, and slowly rebuilding his strength without lying awake at night worrying about how he’s going to pay for everything.
Your support will help:
– Cover medical costs from the surgery and hospital stay
– Pay for the medications and follow-up care he’ll need
– Help with travel and related expenses for transplant checkups
– Help lower the debt that has accumulated during the 7 months Danny has been hospitalized
– Support the everyday living costs
Every donation, no matter the amount, makes a huge difference. This transplant is giving him a new start, and your kindness can help make that new start possible.
If you’re not able to donate right now, please consider sharing this page on your social media platforms. It helps more than you know.
Thank you for taking the time to read his story, for caring, and for supporting Danny. It means the world to both him and the people who love him.
