Ryan and Emerson Fielder

Ryan and Emerson were diagnosed with the rare condition, Alstrom Syndrome. Alstrom affects every part of the body with multi-sensory loss (visions and hearing loss), progressing to organ failure (heart, kidney, and liver failure), pulmonary issues (lung disease and fibrosis), and systemic metabolic and endocrine issues (type 2 diabetes that is insulin resistant, hypothyroidism, growth and hormone issues and obesity). Their condition is progressive, which means it will get worse over time and has many co-morbidities and co-mortalities. Many who work with this condition consider it the monster of child illness due to its extreme nature and the devastation that it has on the body. Due to Alstrom being so extensive, there are many expenses past what insurance covers. This campaign is to help offset some of the costs. One of our current needs is like an accessible medical van.

While there are many hardships, there have also been many blessings for Ryan and Emerson. We have seen many miracles throughout this journey. We know that there is a rough road ahead of us, but we know God goes before us on this path. God is good, he is faithful, and he is in control. We know that he is holding Ryan and Emerson in his hands. His plan is greater than anything we could imagine.
