Myles is the kind of little boy who changes a room the moment he’s in it. His smile is contagious, his laugh is unforgettable, and his joy – despite everything he faces – is nothing short of inspiring.
But Myles’ journey hasn’t been easy.
He was born with a rare genetic condition called Acampomelic Campomelic Dysplasia, which has required extensive medical care since the very beginning of his life. In fact, Myles spent the first seven months of his life at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, fighting battles most of us can’t even imagine. And he’s still fighting… every single day.
Myles depends on specialized medical equipment, frequent doctor visits, and ongoing care to thrive. Something as simple as leaving the house requires careful planning, physical effort, and the right setup to keep him safe. Right now, transportation is one of our biggest challenges.
A standard vehicle just doesn’t meet Myles’ needs. Getting him in and out safely, along with all of his equipment, is difficult and sometimes impossible without risking his comfort and well-being. What should be a simple trip -to an appointment, to therapy, or even just outside for fresh air – becomes overwhelming.
That’s why we are raising funds for a fully accessible medical transportation van.
This van would be life-changing for Myles and our entire family. It would allow him to travel safely, comfortably, and with dignity. It would give us the ability to attend all of his necessary medical appointments without added stress and open the door to experiences every child deserves.. family outings, fresh air, and simply being part of the world around him.
Most importantly, it would give Myles more freedom.
The cost of a medical van ranges from $50,000 to $90,000… an amount that is simply out of reach for our family while managing ongoing medical expenses.
We are now proudly partnered with Help Hope Live, an incredible nonprofit organization that supports families like ours. All donations are tax-deductible and go directly toward Myles’ medical transportation needs.
If you feel called to support Myles, whether through a donation, sharing his story, or simply keeping him in your thoughts and prayers, it truly means the world to us.
Every bit of support brings Myles one step closer to a safer, fuller, and more independent life.
Thank you for being part of his journey.
Two days ago, Myles’ ventilator settings were lowered in a way we’ve been waiting and hoping for.His PEEP was originally at 25, and now it’s been brought all the way down to 5.. a number we honestly haven’t seen since the very beginning of his tracheostomy journey. This might seem like just a number to some, but to us it’s everything. It’s progress. It’s hope. It’s one more step closer to the day we can talk about him coming off the ventilator completely. We are so incredibly grateful for the team taking care of him and for every bit of love, support, and prayer that continues to carry us through this journey. 💙One step at a time, Myles. You’ve got this.
