Help HOPE Live for Savana Oberts

Meet Savana Oberts

My daughter Savana, 23, was a junior at Western Washington University in Bellingham, WA studying East Asian Studies in May 2011 when her small intestine developed a knot, cut off the blood supply and subsequently died. It immediately had to be removed and now, Savana’s only chance for survival is a small intestine transplant.

Savana is in need of another transplant for her small intestine. She has been in the hospital in Chicago since January and will be here until after the transplant. She has been very sick during this hospitalization. Aaron and I have been taking turns staying in Chicago to be with her. I retired from my job, so I'm now here until after the transplant. Staying in Chicago plus all the medical bills are extremely expensive. We could use any help you feel you can donate or just share h we r story.Thank you for your prayers 🙏

Savana has been hospitalized 4 hours from home in Dallas since before Thanksgiving with a blockage in her transplanted small intestine . She has been extremely sick and getting all her nutrition and fluids from IV. She is in desperate need of specialized care from a Hospital that does small intestines. The closest hospital that can accept her is in Chicago. She would need to be flown to Chicago in an air ambulance that is very expensive. We are anxious for her to get back to being healthy and living her best life.

I read about your operation in the Key Peninsula News, and felt I had to help as a fellow Key Peninsula resident in a tangible way towards your medical bills. I have a daughter now in college, and can only imagine how this has affected the entire family. But please know that your recovery and health is in my family's prayers and thoughts - God bless you.
