Dear Friends and Family,

I am writing to you today with a very special request. As many of you know, I am legally blind. I was born with Retinopathy of Prematurity. The only option I have to improve my eyesight is a stem cell transplant. I have been accepted for a stem cell transplant at Beike Biotechnology in China. This procedure is not being done in the United States.

I am a 24 years old, enrolled in college looking forward to getting my degree in Computer Graphics. I am also a graphic designer and Illustrator. I have been interested in Graphic Design since I was young and I love drawing my own cartoons and characters. Due to technology, I am able to do this work despite my disability. Being accepted as a candidate for the transplant is like winning the lottery. To regain sight would allow me to accomplish so much more and do so many things that most people take for granted and present opportunities that were never possible. My dream is to be able to drive and serve in the military.
