Tim Purdy is raising money to pay for uninsured medical expenses associated with his recent liver transplant. Tim was transplanted on August 24, 2007. He lives in Indian Trail, NC and is being treated at U.N.C. Hospital in Chapel Hill, NC.

Here is part of Tim’s story:
Many people did not know that Tim even had medical problems. It started in 1994, but it wasn’t until 1998 that he was diagnosed with Primary Scelerosing Cholangtis (PSC). PSC is a chronic, or long-term, disease that slowly damages the bile ducts inside and outside the liver. Tim was told that the outcome meant that he would need to have a liver transplant sometime in the future in order to survive. After being on a transplant list for close to two years, we received the call in August that a donor/match was found. Tim is doing great as he continues to recover everyday.
