Sixteen years ago, at the age of 36, my brother Bill was diagnosed with an enlarged heart. At the time, in order for him to survive, he was given a pace maker and defibulator. Since then, Bill’s life has revolved around constant trips to the ER, lengthy stays at various hospitals, and accepting the disappointment of leaving his employment. Today, the many specialized doctors at Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia, PA have informed us that Bill MUST receive a heart transplant to save his life. To receive the news that this was my “baby brother’s” only hope to live, was first heart wrenching. But it then gave me a feeling of optimism, that he would now have the opportunity to live a long and happy life with us.
With your help, together, we can give Bill that kind of life. Both our family and friends are presently raising money to pay for the mounting, uninsured medical expenses associated with the heart transplant.
A fundraising campaign in Bill’s honor has been established with HelpHopeLive, a nonprofit organization that has been assisting the transplant community for nearly 30 years. All your donations are tax deductible and administered by HelpHopeLive for the heart recipients transplant-related expenses only. You can help make a difference in my brother, Bill’s life. PLEASE, join my family and consider making a donation today.Thank you from Bill and me,
Clare Iwaskiewicz
I just had my 6th month check-up after transplant and everything is going so good so far as my family says to me. I would deeply like thank all the people donating so far but I still need some more. My goal is $15,000 and we are at $10,000 -- still a ways to go. Please donate and keep everybody needing transplants or donors families in your prayers always.
Your Truly Bill Ravenkamo
