Steve Binder’s Story
On April 5th, Steve received the gift of life! Steve has battled kidney disease his entire life, but his courage and attitude have brought him through many difficult days. Now, after receiving his 3rd kidney transplant, he looks and feels better than he has in many years. He is grateful for the chance to truly live again, and has renewed his pledge to help others receive that same gift of life.
The challenge Steve now faces is one he cannot meet alone. Between a stroke he suffered in 2011 and subsequent failure of his 2nd transplanted kidney, a year of dialysis and then the transplant, he has not only been unable to work, but has incurred uncovered medical costs of over $25,000. Funding the transplant-related expenses is something Steve simply cannot handle himself…and he needs your support. With your help, Steve can move on with his new life without yet another difficult battle to overcome.
To help offset his uninsured costs, a fundraising campaign in Steve’s honor has been established with HelpHOPELive (formerly NTAF), a nonprofit organization that has been assisting the transplant community for nearly 30 years. All contributions are tax deductible, are held by HelpHOPELive in the Southeast Kidney Transplant Fund, and are administered by HelpHOPELive for transplant-related expenses only. You can help make a difference in Steve’s life. Please consider making a contribution. For more information, please contact HelpHOPELive at 800.642.8399.
Thank you in advance for your generosity and support at this difficult time.
