On February 1, 2014 I received a kidney transplant. My new kidney started working immediately while I was still in the Operating Room. It has been a year now and I am doing much better now. My 1 year check-up said I am doing great. I am very grateful to the family of the young man who made the decision to donate his organs that day. Many lives were saved by that decision. I would also like to thank all the people who donated time and money to help me when I needed it.

I am on the Transplant list waiting for the special person who is my matching donor. I go to dialysis 3 days a week. In between I wait for the phone call telling me I finally have a donor. I want to thank everyone who has donated so far and all those who gave of their time and resources in helping with my various fundraising events so far.
