My 14-year-old van is no longer serviceable. Without transportation, I will be imprisoned at home with no alternative methods of travel. My vehicle is my lifeline to the rest of the world as it gives me great independence, and allows me to live life as close to normal as possible.
I need your help to purchase a new van and have it modified for my specialized needs — these modifications include driving controls and a wheelchair lift. As you can imagine, the cost of a new van and modifications are very expensive. I am writing you to ask for your help with these expenses so that I continue to live a productive and independent life.
To ease the financial burden, a fundraising campaign in my honor has been established with HelpHOPELive, a nonprofit organization that has been assisting the transplant community for nearly 30 years. In 2000, they expanded their mission to include those who have sustained a catastrophic injury. All donations are tax-deductible, are held by HelpHOPELive in the Southeast Spinal Cord Injury Fund, and administered by HelpHOPELive for injury-related expenses only. Your contribution would be greatly appreciated.
For more information, please contact HelpHOPELive at 800.642.8399.
Thanks for your support!
I am Mandy's aunt and am happy to donate to help you. Here's hoping that it won't take long to get enough money to get a new van for you!!
