Mike is our dad, my husband, our grandpa, our brother, our cousin, our uncle, and our friend. We all need to have this wonderful caring person in our lives however he suffers from congestive heart failure and needs a lifesaving heart transplant!
Mike is the most compassionate, thoughtful, polite, caring person we all know. He is the type of person that puts every single other persons’ needs in front of his own. He has the sweetest heart and truly loves all the people in his life. He loves spending time with his family and friends traveling, golfing, listening to music, and playing with his grandson. Mike is a person every friend and family member can always rely on so it is natural that he is seen as the father figure in our extended family.
Mike has had a very rough couple of months. He has had heart problems for the past twelve years and was recently diagnosed with congestive heart failure. He had a heart attack in June that severely damaged his heart’s ability to pump blood through his body. After the heart attack, he had four stents placed and has begun the evaluation to be placed on the heart transplant list. Back in January, Mike’s insurance was cancelled through his work and no alternative for healthcare was provided. His medical bills have been astronomical since he has been in and out of the hospital over the past couple months. Mike needs help paying the medical bills he is already incurring and support for the large amount of bills to come.
To ease this financial burden, a fundraising campaign in Mike’s honor has been established with HelpHOPELive, a nonprofit organization that has been assisting the transplant community for 30 years. All donations are tax-deductible, are held by HelpHOPELive in the North-Central Heart Transplant Fund, and are administered by HelpHOPELive for transplant-related expenses only.

Mike’s goal is to see his five-year-old grandson graduate from high school. He needs support to achieve this very significant goal. We truly appreciate all your prayers and generosity to help Mike make it through this daunting challenge in his life. We can’t wait for him to get back to his normal routine to be that great person he is for all of the people in his life!

CALL TO IMMEDIATE ACTION-- As of his last checkup, Mike’s ejection fraction has dropped to 25% and now he must undergo surgery to implant a defibrillator. This will help keep him alive until he receives a heart transplant. We truly appreciate all your prayers and generosity. Now more than ever Mike needs your financial support to help him make it through this daunting challenge in his life.
