Thank you for visiting my page!
Fifteen years ago I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and the battle to walk has been a constant war. I continuously use a cane and a friendly arm to assist me in walking. I have fallen several times and had numerous trips to the emergency room as a result of these falls. One fall crushed the bone structure in my face. The disease is a tricky one full of downs and ups – here lately they have been mostly down. I have been receptive to some of the treatments that have been available in the United States, but unfortunately they do not appear to be improving the symptoms of my disease. There is a treatment offered in Costa Rica for Adult Stem Cell transplantation that has offered some amazing results to several patients. One gentleman I know was bed ridden and he is now able to play golf, a truly amazing miracle. My one desire is to be able to walk without assistance. The cost of the procedure is approximately $23,000 not including airfare, room and board. Insurance will not cover any of these medical expenditures and that is why I have chosen to set up a fundraising campaign in my honor with HelpHOPELive. HelpHOPELive is a nonprofit organization that has been assisting the transplant community for 25 years. All contributions are administered by HelpHOPELive exclusively for uninsured transplant-related expenses. Donations are tax-deductable to the full extent of the law. Your generosity is appreciated! To e-mail this page directly to others in your community who might wish to learn about this campaign, click the “E-MAIL TO FRIENDS” button and type in as many addresses as you wish.
