Janice is a long time resident of Orland, California. She has a lot of family in Orland that she is close to; a sister, her father, and five of the 12 grandchildren she has been blessed with.
Over the last four years, Janice has been a part-time student at Butte College. She wants to get her degree in Early Childhood Education and become a teacher.
Janice became seriously ill three summers ago and was diagnosed with end stage liver disease. She was placed on the transplant waiting list through Stanford Hospital about a year ago. A liver transplant is the only way Janice can return to health and live a full life.
Janice is facing many costly uninsured transplant-related expenses. In order to meet these costs, a fundraising campaign in Janice’s honor has been established with HelpHOPELive (formerly NTAF). HelpHOPELive is a non-profit organization that has been helping transplant patients for nearly 30 years. All donations are tax deductible and will only be disbursed for transplant-related needs. If you would like to help Janice, then please consider a donation.
