Jeff Tamburri & Asha, our dear friend, husband, brother, son and teacher — recently suffered a catastrophic spinal cord injury and now cannot afford to pay for the significant care he will need, the medication and equipment he depends on for survival, or even basic living expenses.

On June 12, 2013, Jeff was struck by an NJ Transit bus while on his way to work. For several weeks, Jeff was in intensive care at UMDNJ in Newark, fighting for his life. His condition has stabilized and he has dramatically improved from a diagnosis of ASIA-A complete paralysis to ASIA-B sensory incomplete spinal cord injury, although he is still a C-2 quadriplegic; paralyzed from the neck down and dependent on a ventilator. There is still a long road ahead, but with Jeff’s perseverance and your help, there is no limit to the gains he can make.
