Thanks for your support!
I received a Bi-Lateral Lung Transplant @ the UWMC March 13, 2006. I will be forever grateful to my donor family for the gift of life. I have Lymphangioleiomyomatosis (LAM). I was diagnosed in 1997, on & off a wait list for 6 years which during that time I had surgeries, infections & procedures and ended up using 14 lpm of Oxygen before I finally had my transplant. I've had surgeries and procedures and many infections since my transplant but it has all been worth it because I have been blessed with a great family and help to support me. Since my transplant I also have become a Gammy and have a grandson Calen and baby boy # 2 will be here within the week, what joy that brings me! It's the absolute best being a Gammy!
I now have Stage 3 kidney Disease and will need a kidney transplant. Now I'm planning on raising money for all the extra medical expenses that insurance won't cover. I'm on SSD and it just doesn't begin to cover medical expenses so I hope that this "page" might raise some money for me.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story
