Dear Friends,
My name is Kerry Weesner, and I have been dealing with end-stage kidney disease – stage IV since 2009, along with high blood pressure and anemia. My doctors have told me that my only real chance at survival is to have a kidney transplant. I am currently on the active transplant waiting list at the Medical College of South Carolina in Charleston.
While I am still able to work, I battle constant fatigue and sleeplessness. On a positive note, my sister, Amy has graciously agreed to be my living donor. Even with insurance, I will have many uninsured, transplant-related expenses such as: co-pays and deductibles, doctor visits, donor expenses, unpaid time off from work and the costly immunosuppressant medications that I will need to take for the rest of my life.
To help offset these uninsured costs, a fundraising campaign in my honor has been established with HelpHOPELive (formerly NTAF), a nonprofit organization that has been assisting the transplant community for nearly 30 years. All contributions are tax-deductible, are held by HelpHOPELive in the South-Atlantic Kidney Transplant Fund, and are administered by HelpHOPELive for transplant-related expenses only. You can help make a difference in my life. Please consider making a contribution.Thank you in advance for your support.
Best Regards, Kerry

This is a great man I have known since childhood . He needs as much of a contribution as one can give. He is an inspiration and keeps smiling through the tough times. Fight the good fight Kerry....Best to you....You will prevail !!!!

It amazes me as to how you are able to do the things you do and you never seem to let it get you down. You are quite an inspiration and I know how proud your family is of you! May you get your transplant soon, and God Bless You!
