HelpHOPELive Southwest Heart/Lung Transplant Fund
Amelia Gonsiewski Wenzel is raising money to pay for uninsured medical expenses associated with her lung transplant. Amelia received a heart-lung transplant in May of 2002 and has for the past years lived a healthy and productive life including finishing college and getting married to Dan Wenzel in September of 2007. Amelia lives in San Diego, California and is being treated at Stanford University Medical Center. Following her September wedding, Amelia contracted a very serious virus which caused irreversible damage to her lungs and now needs a re-transplant of lungs.
Amelia has chosen to fundraise with HelpHOPELive in part because HelpHOPELive provides both tax-deductibility and fiscal accountability to her contributors. Contributors can be sure that funds contributed will be used only to pay or reimburse medically-related expenses.
For more information, please contact HelpHOPELive at 800-642-8399.

My dearest girl and boy,
Words will never be adequate for telling you how much I love you both. You are going to get through this. We are all here to help and carry whatever burdens we can. Rest in the love and care of Jesus while battling up this mountain. You are made of strong stuff and there's more than enough fight and faith to get you through this!

Dear Amelia,
It's not too late to become a Rock and Roll star. Dan can be your roadie. It is freezing in Portland and I sat with Dan's brother Ben during Mass. Has wearing flip flops. No sox. What is with this guy? I'm joking with you because i know everything's going to be fine. A drag for a little while maybe, but God really, really likes you. He told me. Love,
Tom and Teresa in Portland-by-God-Oregon
Amelia,
Our thoughts and prayers go out to you!
We lifted up your name today at St. Mark's ...you have been on the Parish Prayer list from the time of your first transplant. The ladies of Daughters of the King are devoted to you and your journey.
With much love,
Maggie, Bill, Savanna & Will

Amelia, It is Gabe. I hope that you are okay now. You have always been my friend and I will help you in any way that I can. I am sending you lots of prayers from Australia and have a special present for you. When I get home I will ask everyone in school and my friends to pray for you. I will ask my Priest to pray for you. I will fund raise. Best of wishes and lots of love. Gabe H. Senn
Amelia and Dan, You are held with so many hands, hearts and prayers. You will move through this with the same grace, courage, determination and connection that you always do. You are both fiercely loved and supported. Nicole Carroll, Scott, Gabe & Jake Senn

Dearest Amelia and Dan,
You are so courageous (even though I know you don't see yourselves that way) and you have an amazing community of family and friends who hold you so very close and are constantly sending healing thoughts your way. We will journey this path together and be there for you always.
All my love always, Nancy Pribnow
